Wilbur Allen “Smitty” Smith Jr. passed away November 3rd, 2023, at the age of 79 surrounded by his family and friends in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Smitty was born to Wilbur and Alberta Smith on November 6th, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana.  Smitty married Janet (Dail) on April 4th, 1965, in Norfolk, Virginia.  After he left the Navy, they moved to Oklahoma where they have made it their home for 52 years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Alberta Smith, brother Ed Smith, sister Judy Smith and sister Vicki O’Donnell.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet of Oklahoma City, his faithful companion and best friend Rumble; brother Jerry & wife Marsha Smith of Alva, OK, sister-in-law Pat Dail of Virginia Beach, VA; children, daughter Dawn & husband Bobby Edens of Yukon, OK, daughter Pam & husband Mike McDougall of Yukon, OK, son Dail & wife Brenna of Flower Mound, TX, daughter Lisa & husband Josh Morrison of Mustang, OK, son Nathan & wife Tracye Smith of Edmond, OK; grandchildren,  Kaitlyn Erb of Ohio, Meagan & husband Jeff Branson of Patterson, CA, Brandi McDougall of Patterson, CA, Drew Smith of Flower Mound, TX, Audrey & husband James Wagoner of Mustang, OK, Lucas Hediger of Chicago, IL, Bailea & Lane Morrison of Mustang, OK, Misti Smith of Moore, OK, Trent Wishon of Coyle, OK, Tym & wife ReaJane Wishon of Edmond, OK, Trevor Wishon of Edmond, OK; great grandchildren Sophia & Syliss Erb, Lein Sanchez, Olivia & Brady Branson, Claire & Cora Wagoner, Amyiah Smith, AJ & Ja’Chelle Smith, Madison & Tristan Wishon; nieces and nephews Jerry Smith Jr, Judith Smith, Ed Smith Jr, Leo Smith, Todd Clizbe, Kelly Parker, Brian Parker, Donna Dail, Faye Voss, Patsy Hilbert and his Village Fire Department Family.
