VIRGINIA LOUISE (ORE) WATLINGTON

Virginia Louise Watlington, 76, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2023. She was born on October 14, 1946, in Hinton, Oklahoma, to Kenneth "Eugene" Ore and Dorothy Marie (Snyder) Ore. She married Edward Watlington on June 28, 1965, and they settled in Meeker, OK.

Virginia was a very loving and caring individual who cherished spending time with her family and tending to her garden. She had a passion for gardening and found solace in nurturing her plants. Virginia's warm and nurturing nature extended beyond her garden, as she dedicated herself to creating a loving and supportive environment for her family.

Virginia is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Watlington, and their children: Bob Watlington of Wellston, OK, John Watlington of Meeker, OK, Dan Watlington of Salina, OK, Kimberly Lamb of Wellston, OK, April Gray of Shawnee, OK, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Ore and Charles Ore, and her sister, Darlene Jensen.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth "Eugene" Ore, her mother, Dorothy Marie (Snyder) Ore, her brother, Lawrence "Sam" Ore, her daughter, Barbara Ann Watlington, and her granddaughter, Emily Morgan Watlington.

Virginia attended Star Spencer High School and later went on to work at Mercury Marine in Stillwater, where she made valuable contributions throughout her career.

In addition to her love for gardening, Virginia found joy in spending quality time with her family. She cherished every moment with her loved ones and created lasting memories that will be treasured by all.

The funeral arrangements for Virginia Louise Watlington are being handled by Alternatives Cremation and Funeral Service, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
