Obituary

Lovie Eloise Watts was born on December 25, 1943 to
Ollie Sr. and Geraldine Watts in Oklahoma City, OK.
She graduated from Douglass High School in 1961. She
received a Business Degree and started her own tax and paralegal
business in Oakland, California, which she did for many
years. She returned back to Oklahoma in 2000 to be closer to
her family.
Lovie Watts met and married Eric (Candy) L. Bowen, Jr.
and from this union they had two daughters, Sharon McKay
(Keith) and Evelyn Fugett (Gerald); and one son, Steven Bowen,
Sr. (Betty).
Lovie Watts, better known as “Meemaw”, accepted Christ
at an early age, and no matter what State she lived in, she always
found a church home. She would help in the kitchen and singing
in the choir.
On Friday morning, February 26, 2021, she was called
home. In her passing, she joins her mother and father; her
husband, Eric Bowen, Jr.; her nephews: Louis Watts, Jr., Sadiki
Dungee, Ollie Watts III, and Mensa Watts; and her niece, Vernita
Watts.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Sharon
McKay, Evelyn Fugett, and Steven Bowen, Sr.; her siblings:
Louis Watts, Sr. (Robin), Ollie Watts, Jr. (Debbie), Frances Lucas
(Robert), Valeria Dungee, and Judith Thompson; her grandchildren:
Antwonette Isaac (Christopher, Sr.), Eric Hunt, Sr.
(Danae), Cornelius Fugett, Sr., Ericka Fugett, Joy Hunt, Steven
Bowen, Jr., Aniyah Bowen, Jr., and Monica Money; her greatgrandchildren:
Chris Isaac, Jr., Ka’Lynn Caddell, Kyrick Isaac,
Korion Isaac, Wilton Isaac, Eric Hunt, Jr. Shamar Hunt, Jayden
Hunt, Ra’Kalin Hunt, Elyssa Hunt, Erin Hunt, Cornelius Fugett,
Jr., and Amore Fugett; her great-great-granddaughter, Channing
Johnson; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
