Loretta Mae Pope, 63, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died November 10, 2020 at her residence.
At her request, no service will be held.
Although, her legal first name was Loretta, all family and friends knew her as Jessee.
She was born June 2, 1957 in De Queen, AR to Emma Mae Jones and Richard Roger Pope.
Jessee loved to travel and enjoyedlots of adventuresover the span of her 63 years. One of her most favorite places to go was the beautiful beaches of Destin, FL, where she could lay out in the sunshine and listen to the ocean. In 2006, she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of swimming among the dolphins in Mexico with her sister, Carolyn. In the Summers, she always loved going to the lake with her brother, David. Some of her favorite memories were of the time she spent with her brother, Jerry at the Triangle T Guest Ranch in Arizona.
She enjoyed gardening and always took great pride in having a vivid array of beautiful flowers and plants on display throughout the year. She took delight in viewing nature especially, butterflies, birds, and dolphins.She cherished her family and enjoyed hosting holidays, especially when cooking. One of her greatest gifts to all her family and friends will forever be her unique laugh, coupled with her contagious smile. She was such a bright light to so many and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Emma and Bill Jones of Hiawassee, GA; her only son Damean Scott Taylor of Cleveland, OK; brothers and their spouses, David and Debbie Pope of Tulsa, OK and Jerry and Rhonda Pope of Sand Springs, OK; andher sister and her spouse, Carolyn and Darrell Whitaker of Sapulpa, OK; several nephews and nieces, as well as many family friends.
She will be especially missed by her two cats, Mr. Bobo and Mr. Bobby Butters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Pope and her beloved canine,Kita.
