LINDA SUSAN (BLANKENSHIP) DOWDY

Linda Dowdy passed away on May 21, 2020 at the age of 69.  She was born on February 14, 1951 to Glenn Blankenship & Dorothy Snow in Shawnee, Oklahoma, she graduated from Shawnee Oklahoma in 1969.  

She married Gary Dowdy and they raised two daughters Tisha and Kimberly Dowdy in Midwest City.  They were divorced after years of marriage but together helped raise their Grandaughter Kathryn Dowdy.  

Linda worked for Tinkler Airforce Base as a welder for over 15 years, she retired and started her own business buying and selling items from auctions she had traveled to, all around the states.  

Linda was an avid outdoors person, in her early years she loved to water ski with her dad and was in a bowling league for many years.  She was a tomboy at heart and loved hanging out with the guys,  she loved doing anything outside, gardening, taking care of her yard and especially loved to fish a trait she taught to her daughters and granddaughter.  

Her family was her number one priority and she will be missed dearly by them and forever in their hearts .  She is preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Dorothy and her daughter Tisha.  She is survived by her daughter Kimberly of Del City and her granddaughter Kathryn (Katie) of OKC,  her brother Glenn of OKC , along with many nieces and newphews.
