Linda Ann Reel Broussard was born May 15, 1952 in Napa, California to J. C. Reel and Delores Graham Vandine. Linda left this earth to reunite with her loving husband Leland”Lee” Broussard and other family members on February 2, 2020 at the age of 67 years 8 months 18 days. Linda grew up in Carter, Oklahoma where her family farmed. She had fond memories of picking cotton and snapping peas with her grandma. In high school she met and married Jauwan “Spud” Moore. They were married in February 15, 1970 and to this union 3 children were born Shawnda, Jauwan Jr. and infant son Christopher. Linda and Spud lived in various states and towns including Elk City, Merritt and Carter. In 1981 she settled with her family in Cheyenne and made it their home. Linda and Spud owned and operated a motel and cafe in Cheyenne until Spud’s death in 1984. Linda then went to work for Beavin’s Tax Service in Cheyenne. She also worked at the Holiday Inn in Elk City in restaurant management. On September 4, 1998 she married Lee Broussard and they made their home in Lindsey, Oklahoma. While there she worked at Lindsey Public Schools. In 2000 Linda and Lee moved to Burns Flat, Oklahoma where she kept herself busy working at Holiday Inn, Carter Public Schools, Kay’s Kafe and Rudy’s Superette. In 2013 Lee retired and they moved to Carter, Oklahoma. She enjoyed RVing, shopping, cooking, vacationing, the beach, reading, and chit chatting. Linda especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids Rylee, Karlee, Kassidy, Xander and Ryder. During this time Linda and Lee split their time between Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Linda is preceded in death by 2 infant sons, Billy and Christopher; both parents; and her husband Lee. She is survived by 1 daughter Shawnda Moore Callahan and husband Dusty; 2 sons Jauwan Moore Jr., Shawn Broussard; 2 special friends, Scott and Jessie; 5 grandkids, Rylee, Karlee, Kassidy, Xander and Ryder; 2 sisters Janice Wolf; Jeannie Glancy and husband Butch; mother-in-law: Wilda Broussard; 1 brother-in-law Jerry Broussard and wife Phyllis; 1 sister-in-law Cindy Gordon and husband Ricky. And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other ones and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday February 10, 2020 from 11am-1pm at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall 404 Moad in Cheyenne, a Oklahoma. Service is Casual and Come As You Are.
