LELA MARIE (SMITH) THOMPSON

On the morning of June 4th 2022, Lela Marie Thompson aka “Nana Rhree” entered into eternal rest.

“Marie” as everyone knew her was born on October 30th, 1945 to Frank and Helen Smith in Oklahoma City.

Marie was the 2nd eldest of 13 siblings.

At 13 she met the love of her life Bobby and at 16 they were married.

They went on to have 3 wonderful daughters and were married for 60 years.

Marie went on to be a nurse working at Integris hospital for many years and then working as a Cardiac nurse for Dr. M. Mowdy for most of her career.

She was the most beautiful, loving, caring person to everyone that knew her.

Marie loved to entertain, having Sunday dinners with her family, and a party for every occasion.

When she cooked a meal, it was like having Thanksgiving every time. She was a true walking angel. She enjoyed family time, gardening, traveling and shopping.

She was the greatest wife, mother, sister and best friend to everyone.

She is preceded in death by Father Frank Smith, mother Helen Smith, Sisters Julia Elizabeth Smith and Linda Kay Holland and brother Aubrey Smith.

Marie is survived by her husband Bobby Lee Thompson, daughters Toni Thompson-Hines and husband Chad Hines, Terina Dubrow and husband Michael Dubrow, and daughter Bobbie

Pittman. Grandkids- Rachel Lummus, Ryan Putman, David Lee Pezdirc, Dillon Pezdirc.

Great Grandkids- Jadeyn Lummus, Kylie Lummus, Rylie Putman, Malachi Hines, Ezra Putman. Sisters- Wanda, Lavonda, Victoria, Rosita and Angela , Brothers- Tony Ray, Bobby Lee, Frank Jr , Ricky Joe.

Marie will have a special place in heaven and the stars will shine a little brighter from now on.

Private service will be held on June 19, 2022.
