George Lee Logan, 72, Moore, Oklahoma passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on November 18, 2020.
George was born August 20, 1948 to Osville and Audie Logan. He attended Chrysler High School in New Castle, Indiana. He worked at Chrysler until he left to care full time for his father and mother. In 1986 he moved to Oklahoma with his sister Violet and special brother-in-law that he called "bubby", Don Worley. George retired from Moore Public Schools after 23 years at which time he, Violet and Don moved in together and where he remained until his passing. George loved to fish, he spoke of his wonderful fishing trips he made with his brother-in-law Randy Lawson. George was a huge fan of IU Basketball and Bobby Knight. He loved his Texas Longhorns but when it came to OSU and the Sooners, he loved his Cowboys and referred to Bob Stoops as Bob Stupid. He loved to root for the opposing team just to aggravate. George was a loving, caring, and giving man. He loved to fish and met one of his favorites that he talked about Jimmy Houston. He had a special bond and was more like a brother to Debbie Brown and her children, Chad (wife Liz and children Levi, Seth and Blake) Brown, Shawn (spouse Taylor and children Kaiden, Braylon and Brooklynn) Brown, Tina (spouse Rob) Powers and Jamie (spouse Kevin) Hull and her children Summer (spouse Justin and daughter Kamri) Magness, Cole, Hunter (spouse Megan and children Easton, Mason, Peyton and Teagan) Decker and Haley-Morgan Decker.
His infamous I love you, bye bye I'm gone and a kiss was one of the last things he said to his sister Violet, niece Debbie and niece Jamie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Osville (shorty) E Logan and Audie Mae Logan, his brother Delmer (spouse Phyllis) Logan, sisters Ruby (spouse James) McCorkle, Lee Ida (spouse Rod) Cooper, Estelle (spouse Obie) Black, Helen Odean (spouse Lyndon) Hicks, nieces Katie Hicks, Kathy Hudson and Mel Cooper, nephew Donnie McCorkle.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son George Logan Jr, daughter Ashley (spouse Tyron and children Tyler and Ashton) Rainer, his beloved sister Violet and "bubby" Don Worley, brother, Elmer (spouse Ann) Logan, sister Bernice Lee Ridenour (spouse Paul) and Betty (spouse Randy) Lawson. Several nieces and nephews.
George wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, Indiana with his parents at a later date.
