CARLENE MARIE (HUNTER) GLAMMEYER

Carlene Marie Glammeyer (76) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 14, 2023 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma after a lengthy illness.

Carlene was born on October 25, 1946 in Englewood Colorado.  She was the daughter of  Jacob Carl Jr and Ethel Marie (Flachman) Hunter.   She grew up in Lakewood, Colorado with her siblings Betty and Don, with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.  Carlene graduated from Lakewood High School in 1964 and from Colorado Mountain College in 1996 with an Associates degree in Business Administration and Management General.

Carlene was joined in marriage to James Paul Glammeyer on January 6, 1969 in Lakewood, Colorado. They shared 54 wonderful years together.

Carlene will be remembered for all the love she shared with her friends and family, her generosity and loyalty. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity and strength. She will be missed dearly.

Carlene is survived by her husband, Jim; children Carin (Steve) Gallagher of Yuma CO, Laura (Phil) Hilliard of Marshall Texas, Carl Glammeyer of Oklahoma City OK, Fred (Tammie) Glammeyer of De Beque CO; Anthony (Chelsea) Glammeyer of Harrah, OK and Amanda Glammeyer  (Brian Baxter) of Norman, OK;  many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister Betty Thompson of Mississippi; one brother, Donald Hunter of Colorado as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert D. Hunter and infant son, James P Glammeyer, Jr.

Per her wishes, Carlene will be cremated and a celebration of life will occur at a later date.
