Byron Lee Carpenter, age 58, of Norman Oklahoma died October 7, 2020 in Norman Oklahoma. Byron was born in 1962 in Tulsa to Kathryn Wyatt Carpenter and Billy Carpenter. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1993 and practiced family medicine. Byron and Anna McEndree married in 2001. Anna & Byron had a balance. They came together over their love of each other, kids & coffee. They had two children, Jake and Caroline, who held a special place in Byron’s heart. Jake shared Byron’s love of history and current events. Jake and Byron often played basketball together and enjoyed flying. En route to the hospital, on the side of the road, with Jake in the backseat, Byron delivered his daughter Caroline into the world. Caroline and Byron enjoyed watching the Bachelor, going on lunch dates, and joking around. Byron was a voracious reader, avid golfer and a recreational pilot. He marched to the beat of his own drum and he was generous with tipping even in uncommon situations.
Preceding Bryon in death were his father Billy and his sister Michelle.
Survivors include his wife Anna, his son Jake, daughter Caroline, mother Kathryn Carpenter, sister Jessica Leach, and other extended family.
