Alicia Ann Reid, well known as Lee, was born to John Thomas Kealy and Mary Elizabeth Selesky on September 10th, 1933, In New York City, Ny. Hers was a rich and varied life that took her from the East Coast to California where she gave birth to her daughter Shana Kristina Reid and enjoyed a long career in the aerospace industry. While working and raising her daughter as a single mom she went back to school and earned a BA in sociology from California State University Northridge. She was the first in her family to go to college and earn a degree, an achievement that would be one of the proudest of her life, after being a mom. After retiring, she moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., where she volunteered as a child advocate for CASA, a program for at-risk children, and also served as a docent at the Cowboy Hall of Fame. She was an active member of Epworth Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed the arts, particularly reading, seeing plays, musicals and watching movies. She is remembered for being a devoted mother and generous friend as well as someone willing to take others into her home when they needed to feel safe and accepted. She is survived by her longtime companion Amber Adamson, daughter Shana Kristina Reid, brother Jim and his wife Yuki Kealy , and grandsons Philip and Matthew Brady.
