LAILA BELLE WHITE

Laila was born at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, OK to her biological parents. Though born with hydrocephaly, cerebral palsy, and a seizure disorder, Laila’s light always shined bright. She loved everyone she met, Minnie Mouse, rainbows, books, unicorns, big hair bows, Fancy Nancy, and Baby Shark.

Even though she was nonverbal, she smiled constantly and could infect a room with her laughter. Her smile, laugh, and big blue eyes were contagious and drew all she met to love her.

In July 2018, Laila came to live with Kameron and Tanaye Harvanek after a month at OU Children’s Medical Center and officially became part of their family one year later.  Laila moved with Kameron and Tanaye to Edmond, OK where she became a student at Washington-Irving Elementary School.

In July, Laila suffered a traumatic brain injury due to a previous medical condition and never regained consciousness. On September 20th at 6:48 p.m., in the arms of her family, Laila received her wings and went on to run, play, and be the angel in heaven that she was here on earth. Laila will be forever missed and peace is received in knowing that she no longer suffers and is physically held back no more.
